I joined GA my first semester at Wellesley as a layout editor because I wanted to get involved with a publication (see English major) and the Asian/Asian American activities on campus. When I became Head Layout Editor at the end of my sophomore year, I more clearly saw this desire for community building and passion for raising awareness about Asian/Asian American issues reflected in my fellow e-board members, which inspired me to get more involved! In general, I love the wide variety of issues GA covers and the platform provides for student voices, including one issue where there was a guest writer that presented an alternative view of Chinese politics. Since graduation, I am currently studying for a Masters of Science in Computer Science at Northeastern University through their Align program. I hope to combine my liberal arts background with computer science and work in the tech industry!
