Welcome to GENERASIANS!
GenerAsians is Wellesley’s one and only Asian/Asian American interest magazine. Founded in May 1997 by Michelle Cheuk ’00, GenerAsians released its first issue with a staff of just 10 students and financial assistance from a few other Asian student organizations. The magazine has since established itself as one of the college’s major student publications and is now entering its twenty-second year of publication! Our staff comprises of a dedicated e-board, writers, editors, and layout team – if you don’t know how to approach a particular role, we’ll be more than happy to teach you! We also host special events and lectures in addition to publishing one issue – in full color – per semester. Articles range from breaking news to opinion pieces, politics to pop culture, and of course, life on our beautiful campus.
Distributed free of charge, GenerAsians is dedicated to raising campus awareness of social, cultural, and political issues affecting Asians and Asian Americans. GenerAsians also hosts several events a year to further its purpose of educating the community and strengthening multicultural ties.
